YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE

After purchase, you run the portal on your own infrastructure, for example at portal.yourcompany.com. You control hosting, domain, database, SMTP, payment accounts, backups and further development.
You are not purchasing temporary access to a SaaS portal. You receive a source code licence for the offered version, designed to run on your own infrastructure.
OPTIONAL EXTENSION
Auto-Patch remains separate.
The ECU-Patch Auto-Patch Engine is intentionally not part of the portal source code. It can be integrated separately through the OEM API. The portal works as a complete standalone file service without it.
No AI tuning
Auto-Patch does not generate tuning files with artificial intelligence. The engine uses each file service's own WinOLS scripts. A Local Agent indexes and maps them locally, while private script content remains on your own infrastructure.
Simple OEM pricing
No setup fee and no monthly portal or agent fee. The optional integration is billed solely at €1 per successfully executed PatchOperation. Failed patches are not charged.

Your purchase includes a perpetual commercial source code licence for the ECU File-Service Portal. You can use the platform for your own business and develop it further to meet your requirements.

Can I use the portal for my own customers?
Yes. That is precisely what the commercial licence is for. You can serve an unlimited number of your own file service customers under your brand.
Can I modify the portal?
Yes. You can add new features, APIs, payment providers and your own tools. Your independently developed extensions belong to you, provided no rights to the original source code are transferred.
Can I rent the portal to other businesses?
No, not under the €850 standard licence. The standard licence is intended for your own file service business. A separate Reseller/SaaS Licence is required to provide white-label portals to other companies or operate a SaaS model.
Enquire about Reseller/SaaS LicenceWho owns the source code?
The original source code and all associated rights remain with the provider. You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive right of use in accordance with the licence terms. The portal may therefore also be licensed to other companies.
Auto-Patch remains separate
The ECU-Patch Auto-Patch Engine is a separate OEM product and remains proprietary technology. The optional API integration is billed separately: 1 successfully executed PatchOperation = €1.

Can I adapt the portal to my brand?

Can I host the portal on my own server?
Yes. The source code is intended to run on your own infrastructure. Hosting, domain, database, SMTP, payment accounts and backups are under your control and responsibility.
Is Auto-Patch included?
No. The Auto-Patch Engine is a separate product and can be integrated through the OEM API. The portal can be used normally without it.
